G52 leak

G52 leak
I have an 85 toyota with a G52 tranny and stock transfer case. At the joint between the two i have a severe leak. i cannot figure out whether it is coming from the tranny or the transfer case. It has been slowly getting worse since i bought the truck a year ago.

There's a gasket between the two. On my L52, it's not hard to get the t-case off. Just put a jack under the tranny, take out the rear d-shaft and crossmember. Also the t-case shifter. Slide out the t-case. There's a gasket there. I can't say that the leak isn't coming from the input shaft of the t-case, or from the actual tranny, but the gasket between the t-case and tranny is pretty easy to replace anyways. You could see which one is low on oil...that might tell you something. You're also in the Pre-84 truck section, in case you haven't already noticed...
