How do I bypass the BVSV on 92 toyota pickup

How do I bypass the BVSV on 92 toyota pickup
I have a 92 toyota pickup 3.0 v6 and one of the plastic pieces broke of of the bvsv. Do i need to get a new one or could I just bypass it? Will by passing it make the engine not work properly?
