Anyone ever break off the Plastic breathers on the starter? 3rd gen V6

Anyone ever break off the Plastic breathers on the starter? 3rd gen V6
I' m replacing the nippondenso starter contact and both of the plastic breather drain plugs broke off.
Anyone leave these off orvshould i just 2 minute epoxy them back on?
