How's it going guys, I'm a new member looking on assistance. I purchased a 95 4x4 4runner limited,141k miles and it still looks brand new! I purchased with a hole in the block (slung rod). All motor parts came with the truck for a rebuild as all parts are good except for the block. Does anyone know somewhere I could get a cheap block or cheap motor (around $750 or less)? Working on a college student budget

Also there was one of those banner ads that had the complete engine for the V6 3.0L (3vze) , but have not seen it in some time on here.
I know you have a budget, but just trying to help out.

I'm in Georgia, and my local Pullapart (Augusta) had a 3.0 in a Runner a few weeks ago. Check all your local yards. They are common from what I found when sourcing my 3RZ.

 

Thanks for the links. I looked at the first one but I do not have a good core since it has a hole in it. I've been looking in the classified section of the forum here to see if there are any used motors for sale

 

Where are you located.. I have a 95 block that has a rod knock... But if you are just using the block.. you would be fine.. I am on the east coast....
