Does anyone know where I can find these

Hey guys,

Does anyone know where I'd be able to find some center caps for a 2nd gen pretty cheap. Some one stole two of the center caps off my 4runner. Or if anyone has them laying around I'd be interested.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Jeremy,

I've seen a few here and there on ebay. Or else, try any one of the Toyota online parts stores. Always ask for the "Internet" price.

Thanks.

I've looked around Ebay and haven't seen any yet. I check the online stores.

Thanks again

Good Idea

Yeh, I need one too. I figured I'd get my ADD converted so I wasn't going to bother, but I should have the set complete for when I'm ready to part with 'em...

centre caps

If you've still got two good ones, now might be a good time to put on some Aisin hubs, then you don't have to worry about it!

That's what I did when I lost one of mine.

Later,

Cool Stock parts rant.

I have yet to find a stock part, including wheel canter caps, that was not available from a parts recycler... AKA junkyard. If that's not good enough there is always the dealer. Expect to pay 2-3 times as much to a dealer over junkyard prices. Just today I got 4 free nut and bolt type parts from a family (not mine) owned and operated Toyota only junkyard I visit frequently. I was expecting to pay about $12 but the guy said to take them for free and come back when I want some real parts. They know I want to buy a second transfer case someday so they give me small parts for free sometimes. I know i'll get what I need cheap, they know i'll keep coming back. Its the ideal situation.

I'm just about convinced that the only way to kill a Toyota is to crash it hard. When there is a hard crash the Toy goes to a junkyard with tons of perfectly good parts still on it. For example: electric rear locked differential... Dealer wants $750, junkyard wants $300. Bucket seats to replace truck bench seat, dealer wants $400 for a pair, junkyard wants $100 a pair.

If it came from the factory with a certain part, that same part is guaranteed to be in a junkyard somewhere just waiting for you to snag it for next to nothing.
