Hi I just recently got finished replacing a blown head gasket on a 95 4runner 3vze. And I Started it up and had a lot of white steam/smoke coming out of the exhaust. I figured that it would stop after a couple minutes of idle, but it didn't. It doesn't smoke as much after about 30-40 minutes of idle with 2 test drives less than a half mile total. When I give it gas it goes away but when I let off it comes back immediately. Could someone give me any ideas on how to figure this out. It would be greatly appreciated.

 

Did you have the heads resurfaced and checked for cracks? What troubleshooting have you done so far?

 

It may smoke for a few hours depending on how far the antifreeze got threw your system..
