When I got on the highway, got it up to 80ish and noticed the temp going up quickly. By the time I was able to pull over, I think the damage was done. I could tell by the chugging, puffing.
I need to replace the HG's again. I really wish I would have replaced the water pump when I did this the first time. But, it was just replaced (I think, by the PO) about 10k ago, when he did the new short block.
Coolant was all over the engine compartment. Long story short I need a good source for parts for the head gaskets and while I'm there timing belt and water pump. Any ideas?
I have way too much cash into it to just let it go, if I could I probably would.
I put headers on it to try and prevent head gasket issues, but I never thought the water pump would go.
I have all the parts for the driveline (brake complete everything, Wheel bearing front and rear, and drive axles) which I was going to replace on my vacation last week, but strep/pneumonia kinda put a dampener on that.
ANYWAY...a good source for parts??
OEM?? The Toyota dealer wanted $3400 to replace the head gaskets. LOL!! More than I paid originally.

Thanks for the link, but I'm looking for the head gasket seal/gasket kit. I don't know if I should go OEM or aftermarket. Also looking for the Timing belt/water pump kit, again OEM or aftermarket.
