My issue is isolated to entering the driver's side door. When unlocked, the door will not open by pulling up on the handle from the outside. If I continue pulling up on the handle, the door lock will actually fall into the locked position. I have no problem exiting the driver's side door and all other doors are fine.

My only option to enter the driver's side door is to unlock it, open the back door, and reach thru to open from the inside. Really frustrating. Can anyone assist?

 

Sounds like the linkage from the outside handle to the latch has a problem. You'll have to take the inside panel off, peel back the plastic, and take a look.
