Most of the time it happens when I am braking, and when I am about to come to a complete stop it makes a clicking noise (Like the sound you get when you click into 4wd) and then whinny noise stops. While the noise is happening the tcase shifter has a lot of vibration...
any ideas what this could be, because its starting to get irritating...

I dont think its the brakes to be honest...
it sounds like a small motor running, like the noise you hear when your antenna go up.
does this happen with the multimode tcases? cause i can feel the slight pop it makes in the pedals and it sounds like its near the tcase...

 

this noise is still driving me nuts and still cant figure out what it is. I've noticed that it does this thing when i start the engine also.

My "VSC OFF" and "VSC TRAC" lights are also both always on, if that helps
