I have an '87 4Runner SR5 and do not have the factory cruise control option. Knowing how toyota likes to keep things common, does anyone know for sure whether or not the cruise control pigtails are there on the harness side for non-CC optioned vehicles? I have a factory CC switch and want to use it for something else and could use the mating connectors.

I plan on tearing into it tonight, so I'll hopefully know soon enough...but just curious ahead of time.

I'm working on the same project right now. 86 4runner dlx without factory cruise. Mine does not appear to have the pigtails. Let me know what you find. I'm still trying to get all the parts together.

 

ANSWER: No pigtails without the option. Looking through the FSM and seeing how many parts are involved, it makes sense that there be a separate harness. There are a lot of inputs to the system including a cruise control ECU and several override switches.

Oh well.

 

Just what kind of project I have the cruise control option that I have removed if you just need the connector for the switch .

It should be no big deal for me to remove .
