Pic request, 3rd Gen 4Runner with black hood

I have a sport hood and was considering just painting it satin black along with the fillers under the headlights. I'm wanting to see pics of anybody that's done the same or similar to their hoods, not looking for any black on black but black hoods and other color body please.

My 96 Limited is Sunfire Red Metallic with silver cladding and I'm not sure if painting the hood satin black will make it look too busy or not.

Here's my ride as it sits now:

This is the only pic I could find.

I say leave it how it is (color wise). Black hoods just look like someone was in an accident and the hood was replaced but they didn't have enough money to repaint it.

Just my .02

I considered just painting mine black when I got it, I should have since the clear coat the shop used was a low quality clear and I'm now in the planning stages of a repaint again. Here is a picture of mine with the hood on just to fit it, it's still in the black e-coat and wouldn't you know it I don't have my headlight fillers in either so it kind of looks like they're black.

I'm pretty sure this summer I'm going to be painting the whole vehicle with TM9 lusterless olive drab green, but I'm thinking I might do the hood, headlight fillers, and roof in flat black for some contrast. That might help tie in my home made bumpers I'll be making as well. Gonna be a busy summer!

Did you ever paint it? I have an almost identical runner, but my grill and bumper are already black. I work at Toyota and we have a 4runner with a black Hood and a scoop on it. I really want to swap mine for It's Hood, but I don't know how it will look. I don't want the accident look, just a nice black Hood.

I drove around for about a week with it in black primer before I had it painted the body color but now I wish I had gone with satin black on the hood and headlight fillers. I just painted my body cladding semi flat black and now the hood being black would have looked great. I may just plasti dip it and see how it looks that way.
