84 4runner 33x10.5's what backspace?..
i want to put my 33x10.5r15 super swamper tsl's on my 84 4runner.
i have gotten mixed opinions everywhere i have searched so im just going to ask! will my 33x10.5's fit on my stock white 84 4runner wheels and not rub when turning? i am worried they will rub on the leaf springs when turning at full lock. and if they will rub on the leafs would 3.75 be enough backspacing to stop it from rubbing? and will they stick out way to far or look alright with 3.75 BS?
sorry for the dumb question i just want to get them on this week on my day off and know they will fit.
thanks,
Mitch

Stock wheels are about 3-3/8" backspace:

I used to run stock wheels, 33x9.50s and a 1/4" wheel spacer to keep the tires off the springs up front. W/o the 1/4" spacer, the edge of the tires just hit the spring clamp on the front springs (so 3-3/8" - 1/4" = 3-1/8"). Kind of depends on your steering stop adjustment and the shape of the tire and tread, but probably 2-1/2" would probably do it since the 10.50 tire is 1/2" wider in the inside. But, that said, TSLs tend to run narrower and taller than the spec.
