Chevy Rims on a Toyota?

Hello, I am wondering if rims off of a 2004 chevy avalanche(17 inch) will fit my 1991 pick up as far as off set and back spacing goes? I know the center bore diameter will have to be machined larger but that will not be an issue to do. If anyone has done this or has any info on it, that would be greatly appriciated. The tires will be 265/70 R 17. Thank you.

If I'm not mistaken, the factory 15"x7" Toyota rims have a 4.75" backspacing. A 265/70x17 tire is 31.6 x 10.4 x 17. So I'm guessing it is probably a rim 8 inches wide or less. My guess is that if the rims have a backspacing of around 4.5" (maybe a 1/4" cushion), they should fit.

If all goes well and you get them mounted, post some pics. I've never seen a Yota on Avalanche rims!

Nope, nevermind. I posted too soon. A factory 17" Chevy Avalanche rim, from 2002 - 2006 is 7.5" (which I was kind of expecting) and a backspacing of 5.5". However, these rims can work if you use a 3/4" wheel spacer to bring the backspacing back to the 4.75". Hope this all helps!

I am deciding that the avalanche rims are not the way I want to go anymore, but I am going to go with the 17 inch rims still. My problem is I want a steel rim with a simulated beadlock and I can not seem to find them in a 17. Does anyone know of a company that makes such a wheel? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
