Weber 32/36 on 22R oil in air filter PCV?
Hello again! I just bought a de-smogged '82 truck and I have noticed a lot of oil in the air filter. The engine was re-built by a mechanic about 30,000 miles ago. I've been reading about "blow by" and PCV valves so I replaced my PCV valve with a new one from NAPA but I am still getting oil in top of the carb. It's not much, but enough to keep your hands dirty. If parked on an incline it will pool to one side or the other. Any thoughts?
By the way. . . the bungee cord holding my air filter assembly together was just to hold the filter on while tuning the carb/ checking butterfly's. . . defiantly not rigged that way
vent tube into 90-degree elbow leading to bottom air filter plate

New PCV leading into intake manifold

(un-rotated photo showing oil leakage around gaskets)

Looks to me to be fuel seepage, not oil. It's not usually a problem unless it gets excessive.
You could try cleaning it off and see how long it takes to come back. You might make sure the carb screws are snugged up too. If it comes back in a few days it might need to be attended to. I'm sure somebody here will recognize it.
