There is a lag when I push on the gas pedal in higher gears (like going to pass someone)…RPMs jump maybe 10k before I feel the truck kick-in and speed up.

Happens intermittently, and first noticed it the day-after I installed OME lift, Tundra brake upgrade and D tires (just a coincidence?). When it first happened I pulled over & checked brake fluid level in clutch master cylinder reservoir. It was ~ min level so I filled it up and problem seemed to go away. Now after ~ 1,500 miles it is starting to act the same way. Checked fluid level yesterday and again was back to ~ min level. I refilled reservoir but symptoms don’t seem to quite go away like last time.

Is this systematic of my clutch going, and/or, is this leak the culprit affecting/causing the other issues?

Some info I failed to clarify...when I upgraded to Tundra brakes I also installed S/S brake lines. I believe we bled the brake system fine (bled JUST brakes, not M/C). Should I re-bleed brakes and now the M/C too?

 

Anyone know a reputable shop in TN (preferably Knoxville'ish area) to replace my clutch? Took it to a shop today & they say clutch needs replacing, and they're quoting 10 hrs / $780 just for labor. I will start doing more shopping-around (for both brand clutch & cheaper labor) but, just wanted to put a feeler out there too. Thx

Definitely looking to buy the parts upfront. Leaning towards Marlin Crawler...wish I had the extra $$ for Zoom or some other high performance clutch. The way I figure it, if I were to get a HP or HD clutch and do NOT do lots of off-roading (haven't done any yet) or towing then, then just means my clutch will last that much longer. imho
