Hi there all, new to this forum so heres some info. 1990 2L-T Hilux Surf and my exhaust literally fell off on the Coquahalla. still have most of it, but I've decided that it probably time to get a new one. So rather than buying an ultra expensive factory replacement i want to build (or get built) my own. i've done some reading on this site and others and have decided that is probably best to go with a 2.5" or 3" pipe. Some interesting points I read were that a muffler is not needed due to the turbo, and that a flex pipe is essential for turbo longevity. If i do put a muffler on i think it will just be a cheapo cherry bomb. anyways... wondering about a cat for this system and any other advise anyone has. also if anyone knows a reputable shop that builds exhaust systems (on vancouver island or lower mainland) let me know.

 

I get mine done by Grant at Tires Plus Automotive. In mission. He's super good, just got mine done in 2.5" and he used all the factory hangers, verry clean job.
