Loose steering wheel cover

Wondering if anyone has any ideas/tips to fix this? Was thinking of slicing and adding some glue or expoxy then put a stitch on cover.
Thanks
Lance

i'd also suggest obtaining another steering wheel from a salvage yard or someone here parting out. (unless you prefer that original style wheel of course)

fyi: if you go to a newer model one, you may have to "retrofit" the brass contact ring for the horn. there was a slight difference in diameter when i put a leather wrapped steering wheel from a 93 4Runner on my 88. i just pried out the brass ring on the old one and doubled it up.
