Normally don't need to ask a lot of questions, I usually find my answers when I search for what I need, but this time I am lost.

86 runner, fires right up idles fine, not missing. When I went to drive it today I got half a block from home and the check engine light came on and now it won't rev past 2k with out sputtering madly and threatening to die. Turned around pulled it in the garage, checked pulgs/wires, grounds that I could see, vacuum lines. Everything seems just fine. runs great up to 2k.

Any thoughts?

What was the code from the CEL?

 

check the codes and then go from there. Dont just throw parts at it.
