Carb help!!!!

Ok....I need to either rebuild my 1980 20r carb or replace it. Weber or rebuild it? Any ideas? Thanks

Weber hands down. Never dealt with the stock one but Weber is easy as hell to tune and maintain imo. The 32/36 is great and the only other thing I would get with that is the LCE spacer. It's a better built one piece/two piece. It actually seals vs. the weber adapter leaking like a sieve.

i have a 2 piece and dont have a problem but heard ppl do and weber is a really good improuement it will warm up faster to if u have that coolent choke

The one I had from the PO leaked like he had f'd it up pretty bad. I rebuilt and it works like a champ!

I agree with nightstalker. There's a lot of people who swapped the 32/36. Also don't forget craigslist. Sometimes you see one up here for sale but not often.

Are you talking about the gasket between the carb and the intake manifold? I think mine leaks sometimes, makes a whistling sound.

yep. I think I did a review of it but it could have possibly been bad seals too...but in any case I think the LCE spacer is an improvement over the weber adapter. In addition it also has a vortex design that is "supposed" to mix the fuel and air into a mist better. I have no idea whether it really works or not but it did tune a little easier after the install. I also completely rebuilt the carb at the same time so it could have been either really. It does look sharp though.
