Is this forum now dedicated to Tacos and minis too?
I was under the impression this was a 4Runner forum only. I also thought Corey was considering giving the Tacos their own forum board. I guess I'm posting this because I would rather come into this board knowing that I'm going to be reading 4Runner questions and comments. Tacos and early Toy trucks mean absolutely nothing to me because I don't own one. Am I the only one feeling this way?

Trucks are Cool
Truck owners (me, for example), have been posting and enjoying this forum from the beginning. Do you really get nothing out of hearing about Toyota truck mods and adventures? The vehicles have much in common (engines, drivetrains, dashboards, etc). I enjoy reading about Toyota 4X4's, 'Runners, trucks, Tacos...whatever!
As far as a seperate forum goes, I think the decision was to leave well enough alone. Perhaps when the membership starts outgrowing the current sections, it would make sense to expand it.
So, even though there are some "trucks" in here, I hope you will continue to hang with us! Bottoms up!

Just make it "Toyota Trucks and SUV's". Then everyone can be happy and have a warm and fuzzy feeling....Just like in NATTO.
That way we only need one 'Model" forum.
Or call it whatever you want...I'll still be here...

grrr
fine, kick us out if you want to!
there are not a lot of tacoma's and trucks here, and 4runners are pretty similar.
the name of this particular forum is "4Runners, Trucks, & SUVs" just to remind you.....
we should stick together, at least until we are overcrowded here

Whitey- I think I read earlier today that Corey is going to leave the forums as they are for now (I could be wrong
) because most of the trucks and 4Runners share similar suspensions and engines, and what not. So sometimes it helps to have other trucks in here because what if something went wrong with your engine, and no one knew, but there was a Tacoma owner who had the same engine as yours and knew what the answer was and how to fix it? I personally have gotten help from people who don't own a 4Runner, but their truck has the same engine as mine. (hehe I just re-read what mytruck said, and I pretty much said the same thing he did
)

It shall remain the same
Yep, no new Taco forum for now.
The mini trucks have been in here all along.
The '89 to '95 trucks are identicle to the 2nd gen 4Runner in every way except that they have leaf springs in the rear whilst the Runners have coils.
The Tacos share many things with the 3rd gen Runners.
I think everyone benefits from reading up on other rigs besides their own type.
For example
Jim's CB thread.
His dash is identicle to the 2nd gen Runners.
Many mods are the same for all platforms.
If we end up with a ton of Tacoma owners in the future wanting their own board beside the one here, it can be added.
Actually it's there now, but I have it turned off so it's hiding
But the board here is growing. We just hit 500 last week, and already it's upto 533.
I bet it's up to 550 before Monday morning.
Eventualy if Taconian's want a board, we can try it.

Thanks for the clarificationly. I guess it only makes sense to keep all of us together. UNITED WE STAND... DIVIDED WE FALL!
And ya know what? The more I look at the 2003 4Runner the more I like the idea of owning a Toyota Pickup. In fact, it might just be my next purchase. So, to all the fellow Toyota brethren ------

No need to separate in my opinion. Besides, as others have said, the Taco and the 4runner have alot in common. I mean think about it: how many of us would've learned about the deckplate had the Taco guys not introduced it to the 4runner world?
