my 4runner does not have locking hubs, wondering if they will fit on there.

Yes, 86-95 all use same manual hubs, 4Runners and pickups. Pre 86 and post 95, no.

By detaching your wheels from your CVs you are reducing drag, so in theory it should help with MPGs.

 

Make sure to get all the extras Thrust washer adjusting nut lock washer and lock nut.

As the automatic hubs don`t have the same hardware.

They will work loose if you don`t have the correct hardware for the locking hubs.

 

Auto hubs stopped in 89.
He has ADD and already has all the hardware he needs.

While manual hubs save cv wear/tear daily driving, mpg increase is neglible to non existent.
