Holy Crossed Hoses!

Did the HG (again). "thought" i had all the nest of hoses and lines hooked up right.
Uh, NO.

So GAS goes spewing all over the place since I hooked up one of the vacuum lines that goes to the Power Steering pump to a fuel return line or something.

Damn. That's a lot of gas on my garage floor. And she don't run so smooth neither. Imagine that!

So, I 've looked at several hose diagrams, including the one in the FSM but still not 100% sure what goes where. Anyone have a diagram of all the fuel lines on that side of the motor?

yes, you'd think I could tell the difference between fuel lines and vacuum hoses but that's where you're going wrong---thinking that I am thinking.

Heck, I wasn't even drinking any beers and screwed it up good! Probably would have got it all right if I'd had a few Pale Ale's in me when I hooked up all those hoses.

There's only 1 fuel line on that side of the motor.

The Fuel Inlet Hose.

Using MudHippy's picture I was able to sort out the hoses in about 5 minutes. All back together and running like a champ!

It was one of those "wait a second...let me think....oh yeah..I do have that" deals. I guess I finally found a reason to be still holding on to it for so long(it's basically scrap metal/useless to me). "Demonstration purposes" are better than none.

I've had that part removed/deleted from my engine for quite a while now(more than a few years). I did away with those air and vacuum lines(no EGR, no PAIR), and rerouted the FPU vac line + fuel and coolant lines over the intake with rubber hoses and hose couplers. I also put a small filter/breather on the end of the PS IACV inlet hose. Cleaned things up nice like that. Imagine, all that hose hassle...GONE!
