Just took a drive up to walmart and about halfway there my low fuel light came on. Thought it was a little odd because the gauge was reading a 1/4 tank exactly. So to be safe threw 20 bucks in it. Now my gauge is reading just over 1/2 tank and the light is still on!! Any clues as to what it is?? Could this be the beginning of my pump going???

 

No, your pump is not going, the fuel sender is not part of the fuel pump. The low fuel light is an on/off switch in the fuel tank level sender that now appears to be stuck closed (on) on your truck. You could replace it or attempt to repair it with a little know-how.

 

So the saga continues and i'm completely clueless now that the blinker is effecting it.. Light is still on and now when I turn on my left blinker it blinks with it. Starting to think there might be a short in the cluster.

 

You've probably got a bad ground on your cluster lighting circuit. The low fuel light and the signal light indicator as well as almost everything on that side of the vehicle have a common ground point located under the left kick panel. Take it apart and clean the connector and connection point and make sure it's tight.
