I am new to posting, however, searched the site many times before for answers - collective "thank you".
Now I cannot find any nerf or step bars for my lifted '87 4Runner. I am not an expert in the frames/mounts for these vehicles, but I thought an 87 4Runner and 89 Truck are almost the same. So why wouldn't this Westin nerf bar mount kit work on my 87 4Runner?

No their records do not go back that far they said when I called. The install instructions have a diagram and I am still not sure. and since the special orders can't be returned, it would be a $200-$300 gamble

 

I'd say no and get sliders that you know fit.

2 concerns with that..... First, I don't weld! Second, I do not ever trail ride and the nerf bars are mostly functional for getting into the truck for a much shorter older person than anything else.

 

They make bolt on sliders. At least someone does. You just have to be careful when bolting them on that you don't crush in the frame. Should be close in price as well.

 

Why don't you just buy my smitty built sliders for $100 and call it a day they bolted on my 84 4runner right now..

and I am looking to see which sliders I want to get now also
