91muddog's "Crystal" The 92 Pickup Mild offroad build!!

Today I purchased a very beat, but great running 92 Toyota Pickup from the tow yard I work at. I remember the night I towed this one in on impound...can you say TWEAKmobile!!! PHEW!!

We named her Crystal when we got her home after crystal meth. Yeah, found some broken drug pipes and a couple spoons along with alot of nasty stuff!!!
glad the cleanings over now!! at least the major part.

Anyways here are the specs:
Regular cab
22 r-e in GREAT running condition, just needs some minor care.
5speed Manual
318383 miles
Base package, no sr5 anything here!
Bench seat of course
Blue on blue

...thats pretty much it! manual everything, no a/c. No frills here!!

Purchase price: $400, yes four hundred!!!
Reg 3 months out and for next year: $232
ouch!

Anyways here are some photos as it sat!

Took a short cruise to a friends house, him weighing 50lbs more than me, the truck was leaning hard to the right, and left hand turns were SCARYYY.

Ahaaa!! Thats when I found this:

Along the way we donated that old beat up camper to a friend. The truck looks tiny without it!!!

Looks like you are making progress on your truck. Druggies sure dont care of things but when they need a fix you can get a good deal on them. Dont blame you for getting rid of the interior after what was in there.

Truck is looking better. Just one little job at a time and you will get there. Looking forward to your build.

haha, that's even worse than my shock when I took it off. Originals at 150k miles DID absolutely nothing, I could pull them in and out with zero resistance. Totally broken off, that's just epic. How does that even happen?

You should swap those 31x10.50s tires to 33x10.50s and get some 4.88s and some auto lockers! you'll have a very capable rig.

Hooked some new lights up to the touchmaster!!!
A good friend of mine owns a company that installs these on all kinds of vehicles.

The two lowers are my turn signals with the hazards on

holy crap! This is my old truck!!! I had this thing from 05 to 07 then sold it to my buddy in cali. He had it untill 2009 then no idea who got it. Its a good truck dude, I got it from the orignal owner a 240K. When I got it the compression was 120 in all 4 cylinders.
The first owner only used castrol oil, and told me that i had to use it as well and I did untill I sold it. So castrol has been used up to 300K. The clutch and timing chain, oil pump, water pump were changed at about 298K or so.
Only OEM parts were used. I have a ton of history on this thing let me know if you want more.
