APX Shock/Struts - anyone out there running 'em?

I didn't see any other threads on these...

I am in market for replacing shocks/struts/springs but on a SUPER strict budget. Been dragging my feet for quite some time hoping for the $$ to buy my ideal OME setup but, not in the cards for now and ride getting super spongy (speedbumps, stopping, etc). Always hauling ~ 200 lbs in rear. 122k miles on (I think) oem suspension. 95+% highway driving, 35-40k mi/yr.

Anyway, came across APX shocks/struts on Ebay. FULL set = $95.00 (free shipping from website, not Ebay), lifetime warranty. Chinese, been around since mid-80's, expanding into US w/aggressive pricing to build brand recognition. From what I've found so far, been getting great reviews from other car owners from other sites. Yes, the typical hesitation (buy-what-you-pay-for...don't buy Chinese, etc...)...but people are trying them out because of price and seem to be coming away quite pleased.

I am not concerned about longevity per se', but am w/ride quality (also realizing anything will be an improvement). From what I hear, these are supposed to be more of a stiffer ride v. softer ride which I do want (others were comparing to KYB stiffness). And, at ~ $30 less than a softer oem replacement maybe it's worth rolling the dice...

Any 4runner owners running these? If so, how many miles so far and what's YOUR impression?

Thanks!

Yes, I realize how much HDs cost...maybe you missed where I wrote "SUPER" in full caps...

~ $100 is still 1/3 of $300. We'll see how things pan out...
