83 4x4 pickup

What is a 83 yota 5speed 4x4 worth? I am new to these. Has 260,000 miles, decent tires, no a/c(can I put one in?) radio doesnt work, nice body, but has some rust in the bed. Also has an exhaust leak at the headers. 22r motor, runs decent but definitely no speed racer.

from looking at just that pic and your description....id pay upto $4000 if the drivetrain worked like it should.

with just bed rust on a first gen....thats rare!
id have a good look under the cab for rust holes around the corners....ect.
ac can be added.

but thats just my opinion.

wrong section i beleive, but 2nd and 3rd gens up here bring in up to 6k on a good day. posting a clean 1st gen up here would be un-heardof, maybe even priceless.

jk, but i'd say if you hang on to it long enough, and wait for the right buyer, 4k+

Location?
I paid 2800 for a 1981 154k, no rot anywhere, slight surface rust. That's in california though, it's not that hard to find a decent condition first gen here. I did browse for over a year before I found the right truck at the right price. Just a reference, I know it could go for nearly 5k on the east coast to the right buyer.

Truck is missing several parts-d/s bumper cap, rear d/s marker light
The front d/s marker should be amber-not red, front end damage on the fender.
Rear fender flare looks like it got tweaked on the reinstall after paint.
What is the story with the crud under the d/s rocker panel below the door?

Looks like maybe a $2500'ish truck....

oc may be right on this one.

we would all need to see the truck in person, we're just giving prices based on the picture.

location is everything, its like supply and demand. rust killed these truck up here in the northeast years ago, so people are paying top dollar for any survivors.

In Kansas, and I paid 1500 for it. How much work does it take to put in a/c in these things?

Find one in a junk yard with a/c. Swap the parts over to your truck. Nice find for $1500. Around here it would have went for 3500-4000 easy as long as there was no rust on the floorboards
