1985 center console

1985 center console
Hi guys im ready to purchase a used center console for my 85' toyota pickup from a place called wnc auto parts . My truck has an automatic trans and i was wondering if anyone knew if my truck originally came with a tall or short center console or did it depend on if it was an Sr5 etc . . Thanks for any info

Not 100% sure, but my '85/5-speed had the tall center console, tall to fit the rear heater in the SR-5 model. The back portion of the console actually attaches to the rear heater and the heater to the floor, so unless you have the rear heater, the tall console may not work without fabricating a separate bracket for the back part.
