3rd Gen 4Runner snorkel... Surprise!
Hey guys,
I just removed the fender lining to pull the old intake tube and I got a surprise!
The old tube was already a taco tube, from the factory, best as I can tell! It has never been in any accidents. So, if anyone wants to buy an extra, I got a second for cheap!
Ill post up a few pics later.
Anyone else found taco bits in their runner before? Mine is a 98. Maybe they had a supply shortage?
ETA: I'm sure it is factory. The 2 screw mounting bracket fits the taco style unlike the 1 screw 4runner.
So if anyone is thinking of doing putting a taco snorkel into the 4runner, check your tube first. You might get lucky and (unlike me) not have to buy a taco tube.

They put taco "snorkels" (fender tubes) in 4runners through '98. '99+ get the shorter intakes tubes. For others wondering, you need the taco tube to run a Safari Snorkel on our 4runners.
