Somewhat newb question regarding new truck

So, I bought a 94 pickup with22re and130k. Truck is mint and completely stock. New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter and fuel pump, alternator and probably more that I can't think of all done by me. My question is; i know these trucks aren't power houses but I can't go up any hills above 20-25ish and even on flats it seems dead. It seems like it's just got zero power mostly 2nd gear. It runs pretty cool all day and once I hit a hill it goes over 3/4 temp. So any info regarding this would be fantastic, and is there anything else I could try to maybe wake this thing up a bit. I've searched and I already know of all the add one like headers and stuff like that.

Really would appreciate some ideas. Thanks guys

Ideas...

1. Check and, if necessary, clean the throttle body, intake manifold, maybe even strip the head down and clean the valves. If everything is pretty dirty on top of 'em. If not run some Sea Foam through it atleast, can't hurt.

2. Make sure the exhaust isn't clogged. Namely the catalytic convertor.

3. If that's all good, or been done, then it's probably time for the dreaded compression check.

is the truck misfiring at all? or just no power?
I ask of the misfiring because it's possible one of the plug wires isn't seated completely.. running on 3 cyls will def hurt power
