Best paint for off road scratches?
What is a good paint to use for my 2001 Taco? I spend alot of time off road on minning trails and logging roads . Fighting briars and tree limbs comes with the territory. The paint is the original silver color and i would like to go to the Taco green color but I'm leaning towards an enamel typ paint.
A few years ago i painted a Dodge Power wagon for a friend of mine with Arcrylic enamel and it came out beautiful! (two coats of primer and three paint. He let it dry for a month before going off road and it still looks great. Scratches come out with just some light rubbing compound.
Just thought you guy's may have some better ideas on the best paint to use. Thank's , Mike

Are they deep scratches down to the metal? Or just surface scratches? If they are just on the surface, you can use a rubbing compound (3M, Meguiar's, etc) and a little elbow grease and they'll come right out.

Scratches
Haveblue, The scratches came out with the rubbing compound and i kept the truck waxed but now there are spots where the coating they put over the paint is rubbed out and it's startng to show in spots. The truck still looks good from about 20' away
