2nd gen axle in a 3rd gen?

Search and came up blank. Have alittle problem with the rear axle (rusted away, yeah something new about these truck lol). Anyone put a 2nd gen (1992) 4runner rear axle in a 3rd gen (1997) 4runner? I know the 3rd gen is wider by 2+- inches but will all the mounting points line up (panhard/coil seats/shock mounts ect)??
