electrical burning smell under hood

So I pulled up to my house one night and just as I was going to turn off the truck I immediately smelled something burning under the hood. I turned off the truck and looked under the hood. I didn't see anything immediate and I couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from.

It quickly dissipated. I re-started the truck and noticed these dash lights where now on....

I checked my pod gauges and nothing was out of the ordinary. No over-heating, had good oil pressure, trans temp was normal.

So I'm stumped as to what this could be? It starts up and drives fine with no issues, I just want to be able to find the problem. I don't see any burned wires or anything like that?

those lights on the dash usually indicate an issue with the charging system.... I'd check out the alternator.... maybe u fried the regulator or something like that....
