Well, my dads truck won't pass smog, and after having brought it down to the local Toyota dealer, we found out it's going to cost $800 at least to have the issue fixed, which apparently is the vacuum line system. It's got a 22R with a carb, 84.

So what I am trying to get is a clear diagram of how all of the vacuum lines are ran, like a clear set of pictures, because what I have found is very unclear and confusing. Is there a book out there that is detailed enough to show where all of the lines run or something?

me too please! I have a 87 22r and I cant figure out what that yellow part coming off the Carbs AAP. Is it supposed to be able to flow air one way or the other???

 

That yellow part is a check valve to prevent a vaccumm leak.

 

On my smoggy 85 22re I changed the oil and it passed smog.
