89 22re Intake Manifold

Trying to finish getting things cleaned up. The inside of my manifold is caked in black muck. Anything particular i can soak this thing in?

Laquer thinner is my weapon of choice! also favor diesel fuel when appropriate, they both worked wonders on mine!

Carby cleaner, petrol, machine shop hot tank! If its really thick you will never get it all out (I know)

I think it's related to the EGR system, when i did my motor change my manifold was as black as, 20000 k's later i'm converting it to EFI and it's surprisingly clean.
