After 19 years of faithful service, I am replacing my frozen lca bushings with OEM bushings from the toyota dealer. I am planning on applying anti-sieze to the nut on the adjusting cam (after I get it through the new bushing). But should I apply anti-sieze to the entire bushing itself, or maybe white lithium grease? Bear in mind I am in the rust belt.

My concern is having any kind of grease in contact with the rubber bushing causing it to prematurely break down.

So anti-sieze will not harm the rubber? Based on the rusted condition of the old bushings after I violently pounded the cam bolt out with hammer and punch, it seems an application of anti-sieze back in 1992 may have prolonged the effective life of the bushing.

All of the original bushings and cam bolts were frozen, the alignment shop claimed they could not align the truck. I confirmed this myself after an attempt at a "driveway" alignment.

 

I am following up my own thread for continuity. After getting everything apart, and getting the replacement bushings, the bushings inner sleeves are metal, which is why they froze (rusted) in the first place. Ant-sieze away.
Also, if you order replacement cam bolts, the bolts, nuts and nut cam adjusters are all separate parts. This is not apparent at all from the FSM. I am now awaiting the replacement nuts I destroyed in the removal proces.
