Couple of general questions

Just bought a 91 SR5 and I have an inspection on Friday. After pulling it in the garage I noticed it wont pass haha. Big hole in muffler back side. Looks like cat is about ready to fall off.

I had a SES light. Code 21. So I have to tackle that although I dont need emissions. I been researching that and found its the heated O2 sensor something. I hope to just trace it to the O2 sensor itself and not into the computer. I read Denso O2 sensor is the best? Any help there would be nice.

It grinds in 4wd turning left in the front any speed. Maybe Ujoint going bad? I need to grease everything when I do my oil change next week/end.

Found out it was about a quart low of oil. Added some 5w-30 cause thats all I had in the garage. Whats everyone use for oil grade? I see the manual says 10w-30 for where I live. Good for now. Only driving to the dealer for inspection.

Previous owner seemed to not know much about automobiles. It is also painted some custom color he didnt know the name of. It had white body, blue doors, and red hood. I love the color but its going to be hard matching it.

Any advice/help is thankful.

Replace exhaust with new cat, muffler and OEM Denso O2 sensor.

Check the left front side then. Could be anything from a twig to a failed bearing.

Oil is preference.

Paint can be painted over.
