Good Deal On 95 SR5?

I'm looking at trading my Accord for a 1995 4Runner. It's got a bracket lift in the front, 4.88 gears, and 33x12.50 MTs. 190k on the 3VZE and auto trans. He says it runs well (haven't seen it yet) and, as far as he knows, has not had the head gaskets changed. He's gonna send me the VIN and I'll check and see if it's ever had (or is eligible for) the HG recall, and if the 50N was done. He has it posted for $4500 cash, but is interested in straight trading since my car gets 30mpg. I haven't seen a lot of 3VZE's make it past 200k on the original HG. I plan to remove the exhaust crossover to help with the heat, but does this sound like a good buy? My Accord's in good shape, and I've been looking for a 96-99 to trade for, but they're less common, and always have 250k miles

no freaking way i would every buy a 95 with 190k for $4500. if it were me i would keep looking. lots here in az for way cheaper and less miles. i would go for a 96 with the 3.4. i have always hated that 3.0 3vz. if it were me i would keep looking.

Well there's a lot of problems finding cars around here. Everything is made of gold. You can barely find a 1990 S10 for less than $1500. I talked to one guy with a 1998 SR5 without an elocker and 264k miles. He was asking $5000, and wasn't terribly interested in my car (although he said in the ad he wants a 98+ Accord). I've been watching Craigslist for a while, and haven't found much. People here like to drive, so almost everything is well above 200k (my Accord is at 213k, but is up to spec on maintenance and is in good shape). I really want one with an elocker, but they're just hard to find. I figure I'll probably just get the rear of whatever I get welded up since it'll be most for offroad

Cars roll down the highway. Expand your search area then.

No way in hell I would pay that for a worn out 3.0, especially with an auto. MAYBE, MAYBE if it already was SAS'ed by someone who knew what they were doing with QUALITY parts and 5 speed.
