Odd "Shifting" sensation 84 Pu

Ok. First off, this has nothing to do with my tranny, thank god.

What's happening is, when I make a turn, usually a u turn, I feel this sensation of something shifting in the rear, as if I had some large heavy object in the bed just floating around. It also makes noise, as if something tipped over in the bed, but there's nothing there.

I thought at first it might be the spare tire floating around, but it doesn't appear to be moving. So, I have no clue what it could be.

Any ideas? Rear axle shifting? I don't notice any travel while I'm driving.....

Check your rear suspension in it's entirety. Sounds like loose shock, u bolt or shackle.

Damn...another setback to getting this project done. I drive only surface streets a few miles to work..I wonder if it's safe to drive or should I park it until I can get it into the shop (which would be Friday)....
