22re #2 and #3 cylinders not getting fuel
I am thinking about purchasing an '85 4Runner 22re for $1500. The owner said that the #2 and #3 cylinders are not getting fuel. Additionally, he had a compression test done and all cylinders were getting between 170 - 180 psi, including the trouble cylinders. Some work (~$1300) has been done to the motor - the owner has all the receipts. Any ideas on why these cylinders are not getting fuel?
Many of the parts will likely get swapped to my 81 pickup, but I would also like to swap the 22re. Even without the motor, I think it is a good deal given that it has very little rust.

"He had a compression test done"....... Do one yourself. Even then, sounds like a really good deal if you can solve the #2 fuel issue, hear it running, etc. Can't remember how the pins on the ECU go with the injectors. It's the No.10 and No.20 Pins in the diagram, but what I mean is, ....I can't remember if No.10 runs 1&4 or 1&3. It could be a harness issue(if it IS "No.10 runs 1 & 4 and No.20 runs 2 & 3", ...then it could be the 1 into 2 joint in the harness where the power supply to the injectors runs from 1 power wire into 2 for 2 injectors). It could just be a pin in the ECU on that No.10 or No.20 backed out the back of the connector as well. It's a pretty quick test with a multi meter.
Not sure if the injector resistor can cause only 2 injectors to shut down.
