1990 toyota pickup idle issues

My 1990 yota has a problem where when you start the truck it idles normal but after it is ran a while and warms up the truck will kill when you push the clutch in. this didnt start happenning until i put a new thermostat in. could this be caused by running a thermostat that is too hot for the truck???

Did you get the right thermostat? Is it hooked up right? Personally I prefer to use dealer parts, if they're not too terribly ridiculous..I've found that its not worth the time to replace parts store crap over and over and over again.

I am having the same issue but I think mine might be a gas issue. I have a 84 Toyota with a 92 Toyota 22RE if you find out whats wrong with yours please message me so I can check mine. I will do the same thanks.
