Terminal wires question

While fixing the connection on my fuse box power supply wire today, I noticed that one of the three wires that goes to the positive terminal has an outlet in it about a foot up from the battery.

I've had this 89 4Runner for 7 years and never noticed this. I also don't know if the part is OEM or something the P.O. put in. The only two things that don't work are the rear defrost and the power antenna.

Anybody know what this fuse is for? Anybody know what amp fuse it is supposed to be?

Thanks,

Derek

There should be a fuseable link about a foot from the battery on the positive side. Is that what you mean?

I don't think so

The fusable link is where the power supply connects to the 80a AM1 Glow on the bottom of the fuse box in the engine compartment isn't it? This is a very high gauge wire (thin) with a plastic outlet for a fuse about the size of the 10-20a.

found a downloadable FSM

only shows two wires to the positive terminal. With the light of day I will check, but I think that the random third wire I found goes to the fog lights the PO added aftermarket.
