Need some help I have a 1988 toy 4x4 with a bad 22re I found a 1988 toy 2wd with the 22r will the efi fit on the 22r.

Dang that's a question l was going to ask. lf the 22RE head matches in the same place of the 22R you'll accomplish a lot. The others thing would be setting up the computer and CO2 sensor which is nothing. Ha ha.

 

I am about to tackle the same project, 87 22r donor into an 89 22re. From what I have read the only difference is the 22r uses mechanical fuel pump (front of the head) and the re uses electric. I believe you use the distributor from the re also.
