1000 Watt AC inverter Q's

I got a 1000 Watt AC inverter for my B-day.
Anyone run one of these things before? It is saying I need dual marine batteries for a ideal setup? I can't run it with just one battery?
I know 2 batteries would probably be better.
Here's a pic of it. Costco sells them for $69 seems like a pretty good deal for the money.

I did see Zuk's install on his 1000 Watt Inverter from Pirate4x4 nothing listed if just one battery was enough for his setup.

I have that exact inverter, and it works GREAT. I've run jigsaws, drills, blenders, lights... The only thing that I tried to run and it couldn't handle was a 7 1/4" circular saw... But I'm not whining too much.

I'm running it off a single battery (more-or-less stock size), but I upgraded my alternator to a 150amp unit that I got from Mr. Alternator: http://www.mralternator.com

Make sure you run LARGE gauge wire (4ga is good) to the positive battery terminal, and then a short 4ga piece to the closest solid grounding point that you can find.

Have fun!
