93 3.0 runs rough, sputters and dies when off gas

hey there. last night my truck started to drive pretty rough so i parked it. this morning i tried to start the truck it kept on dying. to keep the truck running i have to press on the gas pedal. it stumbles until higher rpms then it dies when i let off the gas

check your intake hoses for cracks. In particular the underside of the hose right at the throttle body. Mine split there and caused rough idle etc. They also tend to split between the fins that allow the hose to flex.

i opened the afm top cover and saw some solder broken so im going to change that right now. the truck wont run unless i floor the gas otherwise it dies

Check for codes, check for a crack/leak in the air hose between air meter and throttle body. Try jumping +B and FP in check connector and see it that makes it run okay. If so, the fuel pump switch in the air meter is probably not triggering; either that or bad circuit opening relay.

i changed the afm, and started the truck. the vehicle still had the same symptoms. i just kept revving the truck and played with the idle screw. when the truck got warm and i adjusted the idle, it ran perfectly. i drove it up and down the street and the truck felt like it has more power than before. im going to wait for the truck to get cold again and see if it does the same thing again
