Im about to order the kit for IFS elimnator. Should i go with Trail-gear or the allpro offroad? I heard good things about both. Goods and bads?? Please help

 

havent heard much bad things about all pro, have heard and seen that tg springs dont flex as well. personally, id go with allpro. many people will have different opinions though. marlin recommends it too

 

Well im not really worried about flex bc i dont do much rock climbing there isnt much of that down here.
but one thing i wasnt sure about was the shocks. i dont know how much shock travel length. im probably gonna with the 6"

 

if youre not rockcrawling, what do you want to do an SAS for?

 

trail and mud riding.

 

Haven't met a "trail" that IFS couldn't handle. Certainly don't need it for mud holes

 

So what one is better. all pro or tg
bads and goods of both.
it doesnt matter what im doing with the truck.

 

Yea I have IFS and all I do is trails, I even hit some rocks for fun and haven't need a SAS yet. Even for the Rubicon

 

If your going to SAS i'd reccomend the tg it's cheaper and the springs are no different really both made across seas just like marlin springs are made across seas people don't understand that say they claim their not as good marlins spring are assembled in the us not made. So basically they put the spring packs together. And if u talk to scottyc from addicted offroad who has worked for all pro now has his own shop and reccomends tg because he has had hardly any issues with their springs. He said he warrentied more allpro springs when he worked their then he has tg springs yet with lots installed in fact I just ordered my second tg ifs eliminator kit from him front and rear. So just my opponnion I love the tg and would never go anyother way and tg will stand behind their products.

And for shock length I know the 12's are fine for 3 and 4 in TG springs haven't done 5 inchers but that's just too damn tall If u ask me my 4in clear 37's fine

 

T-G springs flex just fine(it is what I run)...T-G springs are made in China. All Pro springs are made in INdia...flip a coin

Trail Gear is a shady shop.... i avoid them when at all possible. Only if everybody knew the stuff they get a way with.. Oh, and the few times i have stepped into there buildings i was very rudely treated and with ABSOLUTELY Zero hospitality given!

 

id rather do an sas to lift the truck up than a crappy ifs lift. its the guy's truck, he can do whatever he wants

I say neither on the springs themselves. I went all TG for the bits and pieces but had sagging issues with 2 sets of TG springs. I run a leaf pack in the front from daves offroad http://www.davezoffroadperformance.com . The 3.5" matches the rear 4" TG fine. With trimming and 1" body lift I run 39.5's. 6" will tower and look silly as well as cause more work and issues.

 

I've run them all. Not a dime's worth of difference in my opinion as a leaf spring isn't rocket science and the technology has been around decades. Made in China, India, or USA, who the heck cares with trucks made in Japan. If you threw out all the stuff not made in the USA you use right now you'd be naked, homeless, jobless and with no way to contact anyone to tell them about it.

Thank you gary. I got a 85 sfa why not put it on.
And lift it that way. I got a 4 super lift now.
One of the main reasons I'm doing it is Bc I'm only 19 and I need credit so I went took out a loan to get gears lockers and the eliminator kit.
Not Bc I wanna rock climb but Bc cv axles suck and to build credit.
I tried ordering from wabbit I tried to order it from y'all but it didn't wanna work

 

I had the TG setup on my 91 did the job just fine!
