Hummingwhen idling from around motor when warmed up.

Hey all, so my truck has been making a weird humming like sound when idling. It seems to only happen when the truck is fully warmed up. I never hear it when driving, nor if i press the gas a little bit when i hear it. Anyway, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

If you get any type of response from that vague post, it's a total shot in the dark.

That could be anything...

Alternator bearings, power steering pump, power steering idler pulley all come to mind. Maybe a video would help. P.S. Your about 2 hours away from me. Nice to see another PA person here.

My truck is doing something similar. I narrowed it down to the Altenator. waiting for some warmer weather before changing it out. Maybe something you want to check out.

When you start your car, and the humming starts, move your steering wheel, does it get louder?
