cutting Thornbirds?

ok yall i was looking at tires today and like the 33 11.50 size of the Super Swamper Thornbird but i know how much they SUCK!!!!

so i was wondering if anyone had ever cut Thornbirds to make them perform a little better off road?

lol i know but we were thinking about how much tread they have in the middle and you could make some good lugs from the middle.

i agree with peow. if i ever got a set of thornbirds (only if i got them free or something cuz i wouldnt waste too much money on them) id try to take a grinder and cut pivots in them like tractor tires to use for nhs, in like mudbogs or something.

Idk, just go get some Super swamper radials..
or gear your truck, and buy some used 35's.
my choice would be the last one.

here's my newbie question lol, byt cutting did you mean actually cutting them, or did you mean siping them?

i have heard a few stories of siping actually improving the traction of the tires pretty suffiecntly

i agree, why bother with tires you know for a fact wont do well off road. get on craigslist and see what better tires are out there!
