No i mean first gens. What i (and the vast majority of YotaTech) consider first gens are '79-'83. (yes i realize that the Toyota pickup has been around long before then). And the '79-'83 were definitely offered in 4x4.

78 4x4 pickup ?

My best friend had one of these back in 1979, 5 lug wheels and all, I had my new 1979 Limited Edition, 1 per dealer, No Contest to which was better, another buddy had a 1978 4x4 conversion Datsun, same running gear, not bad, but not a toyota !!!

hehe can you say factory SAS?

notice he is selling two for the price of one. His reserve has to be at least $1000. Which is still probably a steal.

I've always wanted to take one of these older 2wd trucks like the one he has repainted and swap in a 7mgte or similar and make a drag truck out of it.

That's a 78.. So a 2nd gen 2wd converted to 4wd.
Can't REALLY call it a 1st gen 4wd.
