no fuel in #1 after valve cover gasket replacement! help!!!

well last night i did the valve cover gaskets on my 90 4runner v6 .... and #1 is getting spark but it doesnt change idle when i unplug it, ive swapped wires and plugs with # 3 to see if i had a bad wire or plug, but no... not to mention my cap , rotor, wires and plugs are damn near brand new.... when i disconnect the other cylinders the idle changes.... is there anything else i can check before i have to rip the ˟˟˟˟ing intake off again and check the wiring the the injectors? im thinking i may have busted a wire to #1 when doing the vc gaskets....

i neeeed the truck running good my tuesday morning any heelp would be greatly appreciated.... actually ill paypal you 10 bucks if you solve my problem lol txt me at 3362557843 if you know somehting ill be in the garage ripping the intake off

Run it, and listen for clicking on #1 injector( use a large screwdriver, one end against the injector the other pressed against your ear) no clicking, no operation. You didnt say why you were pulling your plug wires, is it running rough/ missing?

yep so in the process of pushing the wiring harness out of my way when unbolting the valve covers , i definitely pulled the injector plug straight off #1 ... woops... at least it was obvious... tips for the future, if your truck is old, be slow and careful, that stuff is fragile

This problem only started right after valve cover gasket change? Then you more than likely created a vacuum leak. Get some carb cleaner and spray around the intake runner going to #1 if you have engine performance change(generally idle-up) then your intake plenum gaskets leaking and should have been replaced with valve cover gasket job.... at least its highly reccommended....

Sounds like you have a broken wire to this injector of the injector is stuck and not firing.
Are you throwing a CEL light that you can query?

yeah it happened right after the valve cover gasket change... i did put a new intake mani gasket in there... but like i said, i found the problem to be the #1 injector not being plugged in (cause i pulled it off making room to get to the valve cover bolts)
